One of the names that has surfaced is free agent DE Ezekiel “Ziggy” Ansah, formerly of the Detroit Lions. Having brought him in for a visit late last month, the Seahawks now appear to be favorites to sign him to a deal, per NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.Ansah played for Detroit from 2013-2018, twice managing double-digit sack totals Rasheem Green Color Rush Jersey , including a dozen in 2017. What has plagued Ansah is his injury history, as he’s missed time in each of the past three seasons, and appeared in only seven games in 2018. When healthy, he’s shown himself to be a very productive player, but it’s certainly nothing that should be relied upon.Of significant importance outside of potentially signing Ansah and bolstering the pass rush is the fact that he would not count towards the 2020 compensatory pick formula. The deadline for free agent signings affecting comp picks expired on May 7th, so Ansah isn’t going to cost anything additional outside of his contract.
