They went an impressive 33-19 in one-run games, thanks in large part to their spectacular bullpen and a lineup that never seemed to quit.We saw 10 walk-offs in the regular season (and one more in the postseason) in 2018, with a wide cast of guys taking turns playing the hero. As we wrap up the year, here’s a look back and those exciting finishes — with each proving to be big, considering how the team needed every win it got to claim the division crown.Christian Yelich, Ryan BraunApril 3rd, 2018Back-to-back home runs vs. St. LouisBraun’s home run is the technical walk-off winner, but it wouldn’t have been possible if not for Christian Yelich’s 2-out, 2-strike solo home run off Dominic Leone to tie the game in the bottom of the 9th. That was Yelich’s first home run as a Brewer, and possibly his first “MVP Moment” of the year. It led to Braun’s absolute laser on the very next pitch, giving the Brewers their first home win of the season. Orlando ArciaApril 6th Daniel Murphy Jersey , 2018RBI single vs. ChicagoAfter a throwing error by Kris Bryant allowed Hernan Perez to reach base safely and moved Manny Pina to third base with one out, the Cubs tried to get the free-swinging Arcia to extend the zone by pitching him outside. Instead, Arcia delivered the walk-off of the year by dropping a single into shallow right field. Maybe Darnell Coles should’ve just told Arcia to pretend every at-bat was in a tie game in the bottom of the 9th. Despite being one of the worst hitters in the majors in 2018, Arcia always seemed to come through in late-game situations.Jesus AguilarApril 21st, 2018Home run vs. MiamiThis ended up being an early indicator of what would be to come for Aguilar in 2018. After fighting Junichi Tazawa for 12 pitches, Aguilar would crush the 13th pitch of the at-bat into Tundra Territory, walking the Brewers off with his first home run of the season. Playing time quickly rose for Aguilar after that, and he was the Brewers’ regular first baseman by the end of the year.Travis ShawMay 25th, 2018Walk vs. New YorkAfter Christian Yelich dumped in a 2-out single to send Eric Sogard to third, the Mets loaded the bases looking to get a force out against Shaw. With no margin of error, that plan backfired, as AJ Ramos couldn’t find the strikezone, and his 3-1 pitch was spiked in front of the plate for what might’ve been Shaw’s easiest walk of the year.Jesus AguilarJune 22nd, 2018Solo home run vs. St. LouisPerhaps no better example of how Aguilar nearly single-handedly carried the Brewers’ offense for much of the first half: Aguilar broke up Jake Flaherty’s no hitter with a solo home run to tie the game in the bottom of the 7th inning. In his next at bat, he took Bud Norris oppo to win the game in the bottom of the 9th.Brad MillerJuly 2nd, 2018Walk vs. MinnesotaAfter Travis Shaw came through with a sacrifice fly to score Miller and tie the game in the bottom of the 9th, the game headed to extras. With the bases loaded again in the bottom of the 10th http://www.nationalsfanproshop.com/authentic-matt-adams-jersey , Miller never had to take the bat off his shoulders. When asked what the secret to the at-bat was, Miller told Sophia Minnaert: “Just don’t swing.”Tyler SaladinoJuly 24th, 2018Sacrifice fly vs. WashingtonWith the bases loaded in the bottom of the 10th, Saladino got jammed on a pitch that wasn’t even a strike, but was able to muscle it just deep enough into left to allow Lorenzo Cain to tag up, and when Juan Soto’s throw home was up the first base line, the celebration began.Eric ThamesAugust 3rd, 20183-run home run vs. ColoradoDeath, taxes and Brewers walk-offs against Wade Davis. The best part of this was Thames’ stylin’ and profilin’ ode to Ric Flair with a postgame WOOOOOOO for the ages.Orlando ArciaAugust 24th, 2018RBI single vs. PittsburghThe Brewers and Pirates were locked in a 15-inning marathon before Pittsburgh was able to break through for 2 runs in the top half of the inning. The Brewers went hitless from the 10th inning until the 15th inning and only had one hit from the 6th inning before Erik Kratz came through with a 2-out, 2-strike, 2-RBI single to tie the game, and Arcia ended it.Christian YelichSeptember 3rd, 2018Fielder’s choice vs. ChicagoWe may need to credit Kris Bryant with an assist here, as he decided to dash to head to third and then throw across the diamond to try to get Yelich for an inning-ending double play, instead of throwing home to prevent the game-winning run from scoring. In the end, Yelich’s mad dash down the line allowed the Brewers to steal a win from the Cubs -- one that proved to be huge later in the month as the Brewers caught Chicago in the standings and forced a Game 163.Mike MoustakasOctober 4th Max Scherzer Jersey , 2018RBI single in NLDS Game 1 vs. ColoradoMoustakas’ time with the Brewers wasn’t long, but you can’t say it wasn’t impactful. Already a postseason hero in Kansas City, Moose joined Tony Plush in Brewers lore with his own walk-off hit, this one giving the Brewers their first win in what would become an NLDS sweep and a run within one game of the World Series. The NLCS comes down to Saturday's Game 7.The Los Angeles Dodgers and Milwaukee Brewers are tied at three games apiece after the Brewers controlled Game 6 at Miller Park Friday.Craig Counsell's team not only came out victorious in Game 6, it set itself up for success in Game 7 by not using Josh Hader.Los Angeles enters with more experience, and it has won four straight winner-takes-all games on the road, per ESPN Stats and Info.Saturday's winner earns a trip to Fenway Park for Game 1 of the World Series Tuesday against the Boston Red Sox. NLCS Game 7 ScheduleStart Time:8:09 p.m. ETTV:FS1Live Stream:Fox Sports Go or Fox Sports app Odds (via OddsShark)Los Angeles (-110; Bet $110 to win $100)Milwaukee (-108) Hader Set to Throw Multiple Innings, Close out Series for MilwaukeeMilwaukee couldn't have asked to be in a better position for Game 7.Since they were able to post insurance runs in the seventh and eighth inning of Game 6, the Brewers didn't have to use Josh Hader to close out the game. With Hader rested, Milwaukee manager Craig Counsell could call on the dominant left-hander to throw as many as three or four innings in relief once Jhoulys Chacin is done on the mound.Matt Slocum/Associated PressThe length of Chacin's start will dictate when Counsell decides to unleash a rested Hader on the Los Angeles lineup.Chacin, who hasn't given up a run in the postseason, lasted 5.1 innings in the Game 3 win at Dodger Stadium. If Chacin goes a similar distance Saturday, Counsell can use Hader for three innings for the second time in the NLCS before handing the ball over to Corey Knebel to close out the series in the ninth inning.Of course, the ideal strategy could get thrown out the window if Chacin concedes a few early runs, which would cause Counsell to have an early trigger and figure out when to mix in Hader.Regardless of what happens in the first five innings, possessing a fresh Hader is what the Brewers want, and the southpaw has already shown he's capable of thriving in that situation. In Game 1 http://www.nationalsfanproshop.com/authentic-matt-adams-jersey , Hader entered in the fifth and tossed three scoreless innings before giving way to Xavier Cedeno.Dodgers Need More Production out of Middle of OrderThe Los Angeles bats went quiet at the worst possible time in Game 6, as the Dodgers recorded five hits.To make matters worse, the heart of the Dodgers order produced two hits, with one each from Justin Turner and Chris Taylor.Manny Machado and Cody Bellinger combined to go 0-for-8 with three strikeouts and four runners left on base from the No. 4 and No. 5 positions in the order.Charlie Riedel/Associated PressThe future doesn't look bright for the Dodgers, as Chacin held them to three hits in Game 3, two of which came in the second inning. If the Dodgers are able to string two or more hits together off Chacin early in the contest, they must be able to take advantage of the scoring opportunities. That starts with Justin Turner getting on base from the No. 3 hole, which forces Chacin to pitch to Machado in the cleanup spot.If both Turner and Machado get on base, Bellinger and Yasiel Puig are waiting to drive them in, but if the No. 5 and No. 6 hitters aren't able to produce at the plate, the rally could end at the pitcher's spot in the lineup.Even when Chacin exits the game, the Dodgers have to focus on capitalizing on scoring opportunities since there might not be many if Milwaukee dominates the game on the mound. However, all it takes is for one player to come through with a clutch hit to make the difference in a series that has experienced three one-run games and should feature a fourth Saturday night.Follow Joe on Twitter, JTansey90.Statistics obtained from Baseball Reference.
