A historical statue you may wish to visit is that of the statue of Michel Gabriel Paccard who along with J. Balmat first ascended the Mont Bla du Midi. Like Horace B?n?dict de Saussure, Michel Gabriel and Balmat have contributed to the history of Chamonix Mont Blanc.
