he ball. They just didn't do very much when they had it.Playing without two of its top receivers http://www.bearscheapstores.com/kyle-fuller-jersey-cheap , New York managed just 207 yards in a 24-10 loss to the Chicago Bears on Sunday. Darnold passed for a career-low 153 yards in his eighth NFL start, and Isaiah Crowell was the Jets' top rusher with a measly 25 yards on 13 carries.Just a quiet, ho-hum sort of day for everyone in green-and-white."We just couldn't really get anything going," Crowell said. "I've got to watch the film, but I mean it was frustrating at the same time."It was New York's first game since running back Bilal Powell sustained a season-ending neck injury during last weekend's 37-17 loss to Minnesota. Leading receivers Robby Anderson and Quincy Enunwa were inactive due to injuries, and tight end Neal Sterling departed in the first half with a concussion.Rishard Matthews made his Jets debut after signing with the team on Tuesday, but the veteran receiver was shut out. Asked if New York (3-5) might need to add another offensive option, coach Todd Bowles said they would discuss the possibility this week."We had a lot of new people out there," Bowles said. "I mean they fought hard, they played hard. We're not going to use injuries as an excuse. Just got to make more plays."A week after Darnold threw three interceptions and lost a fumble against the Vikings, the Jets played turnover-free ball against the opportunistic Bears. But they hurt themselves with five false start penalties. The flags contributed to a 3-for-14 performance on third down and just 12 first downs overall, compared to 22 for the Bears."I think the biggest thing for us offensively is just staying in manageable down distances, not getting false starts, not getting penalties," Darnold said.New York's longest play of the day was nearly intercepted by Kyle Fuller, but it went off his hands and Deontay Burnett took the ball to the Chicago 18 for a 29-yard reception with about 12 minutes left. Darnold then finished the drive with a 16-yard touchdown pass to rookie Chris Herndon , making it 17-10 with 11:10 remaining. But the Bears responded with an eight-play, 79-yard drive Cheap Leonard Floyd Jersey , culminating in Jordan Howard's 2-yard touchdown run, and the Jets never threatened again."Very proud of the way they fought and stayed together," Bowles said. "This is one of the first games the entire year that we stayed together as a team and fought collectively. Execution was not great, obviously, and we got to make more plays and we know that."The lack of execution was particularly glaring before New York rallied in the final period. The Jets had just four first downs and 98 yards heading into the fourth quarter. Before Herndon caught a TD pass for the third straight week, the Jets' only scoring drive ended with a 42-yard field goal by Jason Myers in the second quarter."It's frustrating for everyone," said Darnold, who was 14 of 29 and was sacked once. "I mean, we just got to play better. We got to, like I said before, it's about staying in manageable down distances. First and second down, getting off the ball, running the football, and completing the football. So that's really all it is. If we can do that we'll be a good football team."Jay Cohen can be reached at s://jcohenapChicago Bears at Arizona Cardinals Preview: Which Players to Watch For The Chicago Bears have a tally in the win column. This team is now .500 with an excellent chance to be 2-1 entering week 4’s match-up with Tampa Bay. But before that, the Bears hop on their charter and head to sunny Glendale, AZ for a showdown with a team that used to be in Chicago: the Cardinals. Make no mistake about it, this Cardinals team is bad. Like really bad. The Bears should have plenty of opportunities to be more aggressive against a team that will be fighting the Bills for the #1 overall pick in the 2019 NFL Draft. Staying aggressive for 60 minutes is the theme this week and that is going to shape this week’s Who to Watch For. Both the offense and defense seemed to take a small step forward last week, now’s the time for a larger one. Here is my list of players to keep an eye on Sunday afternoon.Who to WatchAllen Robinson II: Despite 14 targets and 10 catches last week http://www.bearscheapstores.com/akiem-hicks-jersey-cheap , Robinson did not see many throws downfield. That needs to change this week. Robinson is one of the best deep threats in the NFL since entering the league, it’s time to use him as one. It has been a spell since the Bears last had a true #1 wide receiver, and the time is right to unleash him. Look for Robinson to be a bigger part of the vertical passing attack, which I predict will finally show up this week. With his ability to catch 50/50 balls, Mitch Trubisky shouldn’t hesitate to let Robinson fight for the ball, even if he appears covered. Let him post-up a smaller defensive back and make a play. a spell Trey Burton: So far, Trubisky and Burton have not been quite in sync just yet. This feels like the prime opportunity to see how Burton can work the seams. Get him matched-up on slower linebackers or smaller defensive backs and let him work. The Packers used zone to confuse Trubisky in week 1, and the tight end is the weapon of choice versus zone coverage. Matt Nagy’s system has done a great job of getting receivers open, but so far, he hasn’t had a lot of success with Burton. That should change on Sunday. Roquan Smith: The Bears have brought Smith along slowly, which was probably the right move. But after seeing his speed against the Seahawks last week, I think it’s time to showcase that with aggression. That means using Smith to try and take away throws to the backs and tight ends when it’s called for but it also means letting him blitz. I don’t want to see blitzes in only passing situations though, let him wreak havoc in the backfield on a consistent basis. Do that and I have a feeling Smith grows by leaps and bounds as a rookie.Eddie Jackson: Prince Amukamara gave credit to Vic Fangio and Ed Donatell for giving the secondary a tip sheet which led directly to his pick-6. I want to see Eddie Jackson get his head in the tip sheet this week. Whether the quarterback is Sam Bradford or Mike Glennon (I doubt that Steve Wilks starts Josh Rosen this week), the Bears should have opportunities for some turnovers. The next step for Jackson is to become the ballhawk that we saw on his college tape. See if he takes a few chances this week against a desperate offense. What are your thoughts? Which Bears players are you keeping an eye on this Sunday afternoon against the Cardinals?Stay tuned for my Three Keys to the Game tomorrow morning and in case you missed it, here is my What to Watch For from earlier today.
