China's second largest e-commerce giant JD said it has increased its investment to become one of the biggest shareholders in Vietnam-headquartered e-commerce platform ECCO Uomo Intrinsic 3 Textile Nere Italia , Tiki.vn, as part of its overseas expansion initiatives.


JD and another existing shareholder, VNG Corporation, both participated in the latest fund-raising for Tiki ECCO Uomo Intrinsic 2 Stivali Nere Italia , while its previous investors include Japanese investors Sumitomo Corporation and CyberAgent Ventures.


This follows JD's US$44 million investment in the platform in November last year.


Tiki was founded in 2010 and started out as an online book seller, but has since diversified to include more physical goods such as toys, digital devices, lifestyle and beauty products.

JD will also leverage off Tiki's warehousing and delivery systems, as well as its technology and payment capabilities.


JD aims to build more solid ground for its long-term expansion in overseas markets following its launch of a local online retail business in Indonesia in 2015. The e-commerce giant has been pushing forward tie-ups with domestic and overseas partners, and deals with Farfetch and Vipshop in the past year testifies its ambition to broaden product and service offerings to catch up with leader Alibaba.


E-commerce giants are ambitious in their Southeast Asian expansion plans. Alibaba has invested heavily in payment and e-commerce ventures in Thailand, Singapore ECCO Irving Fisherman Sandali Nere Italia , Indonesia and Malaysia.

MACAO, Dec. 20 (Xinhua) -- Tens of thousands of Macao people participated in a series of activities and events to celebrate Macao's 18th anniversary of returning to China and the establishment of Macao Special Administrative Region (SAR) on Wednesday.


The SAR government started a flag-raising ceremony at 8:00 a.m. local time at the Golden Lotus Square, with Macao's leading officials ECCO Uomo Yucatan Sandali Espresso Cocoa Marrone Nere Italia , discipline forces and local residents participating in the event.


Two formations of Public Security Forces of Macao took the national flag and the Macao SAR flag to the two flag poles. Then the two flags were hoisted to the national anthem in front of the audience of over 1,000 people and honor guards from Macao's police officers, firefighters and custom officers.


People's Liberation Army Macao Garrison at region also held a flag-raising ceremony in the morning.


Following the ceremonies was a reception event held at Macao Tower Convention and Entertainment Center which was decorated by ribbons of red and yellow, the colors of China's national flag. About 700 representatives from all sectors of society in Macao attended the reception to celebrate the 18th anniversary of establishment of Macao SAR.


SAR Chief Executive Chui Sai On said in his speech that the government was cautiously optimistic about Macao's economic outlook ECCO Chander Classic Fisherman Sandali Nere Italia , highlighting that the SAR has a stable economy, healthy public finances and a low unemployment rate.
